Detailed Introduction

Agricultural Silage Wrap / Pasture Film

Overview

Our Agricultural Silage Wrap is a high-performance, multi-layer co-extruded polyethylene (PE) film specially engineered for ensiling grass, corn, alfalfa, and other forage crops. Designed to withstand harsh outdoor conditions, it creates an airtight seal that promotes optimal fermentation, preserves nutritional value, and minimizes spoilage.

Key Features

1. Superior Oxygen Barrier

Multi-layer structure provides extremely low oxygen permeability. Creates and maintains anaerobic conditions essential for lactic acid fermentation, preserving protein content and digestibility.

2. Exceptional Puncture & Tear Resistance

Reinforced with advanced polymer blends to resist punctures from sharp crop stems, stubble, bird pecks, and rodent damage. Reduces the risk of air ingress and mold growth.

3. UV Stabilized for Outdoor Durability

Contains UV stabilizers and antioxidants that protect against degradation from prolonged sunlight exposure. Maintains mechanical integrity for extended storage periods (12–24 months).

4. High Tack & Self-Adhesion

Optimized tackifier formulation ensures strong layer-to-layer bonding without the need for adhesives or tapes. Forms a monolithic, waterproof seal that prevents water infiltration and gas exchange.

5. Consistent Thickness & Width Control

Precision extrusion technology guarantees uniform thickness across the entire roll. Ensures consistent stretch and coverage during mechanized bale wrapping.

6. Excellent Cold Weather Performance

Remains flexible and tear-resistant even at sub-zero temperatures. Suitable for year-round operation in cold climate regions.

Applications

  • Silage Bales: Round and square bale wrapping for grass, alfalfa, corn silage, and whole-crop cereals

  • Haylage Production: High-moisture forage preservation

  • Bunker Silos: Top covering and sealing for pit or bunker silos

  • Outdoor Storage: Protection of baled straw, hay, and other agricultural materials

  • Compost Covers: Temporary sealing of compost windrows (select grades)
